Our Goal is to place au pair in great families around South East Queensland. It is essential for us that our au pairs are paired with kind families where they will find stability and fulfillment. We pride ourselves on being absolutely fee free for all of our au pairs!

Do you have what it takes to become an au pair?

To join the Enchanted Nanny Agency team you need the following:

  • A professional approach
  • Good English
  • An unconditional love for children
  • A positive attitude
  • Qualifications or experience in child care/working with children
  • Be legally able to work in Australia (Working Holiday Visa, Student Visa)
  • A minimum of 18 years of age

Documents required to work as an au pair

To start working as an au pair, you will need to have to obtain a few official documents and certifications. Those are essential for both your safety and the family's.

  • A Working with Children Check or Blue Card (QLD)
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Positive References
  • Travel insurance
  • Current driver’s license (for driving roles)
  • Police Clearance (optional)

If you don’t have your Working with Children Check, Police Check or current First Aid Certificate but are in the process of getting one you may apply now and provide those later in the recruitment process.

Which role is the best for me?

Au Pair

  • Living with the family
  • Food and accommodation provided
  • Pocket money
  • Child related duties (drop offs and pick ups, meal preparation, after school activities...) and sometimes some household duties (washing dishes, tidying up kids' rooms, vacuuming...)

Nanny

  • Usually live out of the house
  • Hourly wage: usually around 20-30$ per hour depending on experience
  • Child related duties (drop offs and pick ups, meal preparation, after school activities...) and sometimes some household duties (washing dishes, tidying up kids' rooms, vacuuming...)

House Manager

  • Usually live out of the house
  • Hourly wage: usually around 28-33$ per hour depending on experience
  • Variety of tasks throughout the home: drop off and pick up kids from school, organizing meals for the all family, grocery shopping, organizing after school activities and doctor appointment, doing some household chores (washing, ironing, vaccuming...)
